Giving Africa currently has 3 Trustees, with vacancies for 3/4 further individuals.
The team is committed to working in Africa, but also bringing the wealth of Africa to the UK through the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge. After undertaking a skills audit we are keen to broaden the board’s skills and experience by recruiting individuals within the following areas: Education; Finance; Networking – broadening the networks of Giving Africa, helping to develop new partners and funders; Brand and Marketing – helping to develop our brand to be clear and stand out. There are 4 role descriptions below, however we are open to individuals who may demonstrate more than one skill and who complement existing skills on the board.
With the support of a major donor partner we have embarked on an ambitious 3-year plan from 2016 to 2019 with the aim of creating a model of excellence at the Secondary School we work with in Burkina Faso. This model will then be used to further our work with other children’s groups and partners in Africa.
