Sending love after the attack in Burkina Faso
It’s with great sadness we share the terrible news about the Al-Qaeda terrorist attack last night in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
Burkina Faso’s government says 26 people were killed and a further 56 injured after Islamist militants attacked a hotel in the capital, Ouagadougou, popular with foreigners. They were from 18 countries. In addition an Australian doctor and his wife were kidnapped on Friday night in the north of the country, near the border with Mali.
We’ve heard from our friends and partner AEAD who help us support our school in Bethel and you’ll be pleased to hear that they are all fine thankfully. Things are now under control and calming down.
We feel that education is the only long term solution to countering extremism. Thanks to your support we are feeding many mouths and minds.
Please leave us any inspiring or caring messages below that you’d like us to pass on to the teachers and children in the school.
